We have set up this area to help our customers with specific questions regarding their needs. 1002 - How do I see who visits my sites?
Want to track who visits your site or determine if an online campaign will help you get more customers to your site. Want to know if they are local, use smart phones or how long they stay and what pages they are looking at.

4010 - How do I check my emails?
Do you have an email for one of the domains that James River Webs manages for you and you want to check or send email from anywhere in the world (with internet connection). This article will get you there.

4014 - How do you make sure that my sites stay up?

Although James River Webs, Inc. trys to make sure sites are always up and running there are times when something unexpected occurs. Starting in August 2010 we implemented a service that looks at the web sites every 30 minutes (more often if needed). If they appear to be "down" we get an email and notification via cell phone letting us know that a site is down. We immediately determine the reason and bring the sites back up. This service is part of doing business with James River Webs.

4017 - What are all the fees associated with a web site?

There can be many costs to launching a web site but not all costs are needed. James River Webs, Inc will sit down and discuss the fees, but here are the three main areas. First; there is the purchase of the domain. This is a fixed cost of $15.00/year. The second cost is the monthly hosting fees which can range from $15.00 - $40.00 depending on the needs. Most of our customers find that $15.00 is more than enough. Then there is the actual cost of building the web site. This is the only variable expense and can be as $200 - $2,000 one time. If you were to take advantage of all of the discounts and using the base monthly cost it would be ($177/Year) plus design costs. We encourage you to ask us to personalize YOUR costs.

5000 - Do you offer discounts?

As a small business we have grown over the years by word-of-month. We know how valuable it is. Therefore; we do offer discounts for referrals and yearly contracts. If you successfully refer someone to us and we receive a signed contract of any size you get the six months of hosting for free (up to $90). If you pay your monthly hosting fee the next 12 months we will give you 10% discount. Also if you go to the contact page and send us an email and use the word 'cattails' in the email then we give a 10% discount of any design work. We also offer special discounts to our partners and customers throughout the year. (These discounts are subject to change without prior notice)

5002 - What is SOE and do you do it?

First no matter what any company declares or promises there is NO GUARANTEE that your site will appear at the top of any search engine. If they do then you need to run!!! If the search engine determine that are trying to "trick" them they can completely remove your site from their search engine. So be careful. We do SEO (Search Engine Optimization) but you migh consider implementing a PPC (Pay per click). You might be surprised how inexpensive this can run per month. Ask us to explain the differences.

5006 - How many email accounts can I get for my site?
If you use James River Webs, Inc. for hosting there is a limit of 50 email accounts as part of your monthly fee. If you need more the base amount then there is a cost of $1.00 per email per month. We have never had to use more than 20 emails per domain but it is there when your business grows bigger.
